Just trying to get an idea of who has a Valkyrie Trike, what version, which conversion and where they might be. I still have my two-wheeler but bought a Valk Trike last year and love it just as much. Please chime in if you got one (or more) with as much info as you're willing to share. I added GW Trikes just cause I know there are folks who have them but, come to this board since in their hearts, they are still Valkyrie People. I may have left a brand name off the list (I don't know all of them) so, feel free to let me know what I missed. Edited: Mine is a 98 Standard converted with a Motortrike conversion, straight axle, has an Interstate trunk and the Aussie Cruise Control put on with John's assistance. I pull my tag-a-long trailer on trips. BTW, it's black with ORANGE markings. With assistance, I went from the Valkyrie Standard rake to a 6.25* rake with assistance from Warlock. Made a huge difference. Rams

As you can see in the picture below, mine is a converted I/S...done in 2011. It had 68k on it at the time, ran pretty good but rather gutless. Throttle response was a thing of the past, twist it and it felt like riding a horse with a burr under the saddle. It handled fine, had a 6 degree rake kit installed at the time of the conversion which was done at the factory in Minnesota. After I bought it, I swapped a lot of stuff over from the old Tourer, including the carbs I had rebuilt the year before. When I changed out the belts I also installed a 4 degree T/W, then used a borrowed carb balance unit to tune it. All that really woke the old girl up, no more bucking and hesitation.
For the backseat, I couldn't find a commercial one I liked so cut down the OEM seat and my friend Carman in Ft. Worth covered it and the back rest. I did add a nice chrome bumper and added an additional red light in place of the large chrome Roadsmith logo across the bottom trunk lid. The only thing that bothers me is the ride is a bit harsh when not loaded...it has coil over shocks plus separate coil springs in front of the shocks. Plus, since it has independent suspension it has a rather stiff sway bar. I recently added new rubber all the way around and it handles great...albeit a bit stiff.
I like it, I feel more secure on it...at my age that's what it took to keep me in the wind. Last year I had two days where I covered well over 400 miles without a hitch and one just under 400, one day I was in/out of rain all day. I was comfortable doing it...not so much this year due to lousy weather. Returning home it took me nearly four days to cover 800 miles, something that normally would have only taken two. The trike will eventually go to my daughter and her hubby who now rides an I/S.

We have 2 Valkyrie trikes. 1997 red/white (Barbs) & 2000 black (mine). Both have CSC trike conversions, both have 8 degree rakes, both are solid axle. I like mine, but hers sounds better.

Trish has a 2000 Interstate with Roadsmith Independent Suspension and Air Ride. 8 degree Rake and Reverse. Her first Trike was a 97 Tour with a 2000 Motor Trike kit solid axle and 6 degree rake. She loves the Roadsmith and 8 degree rake. Dan & Trish

I couldn’t participate in the poll as I don’t have a trike but I have been considering a few as possibilities. The first one is vey retro and I really like all the chrome and the wood step is sexy! My other consideration is a little more radical but it definitely needs a rake kit. I also stumbled across Rams next step as old age overtakes him! These are all I could possibly afford, but they aren’t nearly as cool as a Valkyrie Trike.

Mine is a 2000 I/S with a Motor Trike kit. It was converted in 2007 and I picked it up in Florida in 2016. It has a custom paint job, and a set of Mark T's exhaust when I got it. They sounded nice, but the previous owner had misplaced the trumpets to quieten it down, and the chrome had started flaking off and rust was setting in, so I found a set of OEM's to install on it. I like the Motor Trike kit pretty well except that it has a "glove box" for a trunk and does not hold much. Has a solid axle and a 6* rake, I think. I normally do all my riding two-up, but on the few times I have been solo I have to remember to adjust the air bags, otherwise it is a very stiff ride. I have seen other Motor Trike kits that have an on-board compressor to set the pressure at, but mine does not have one.

Hopefully others will see this and respond. I fully realize that a trike isn't for everyone at least until their knees start going south. I'm still riding my two-wheeler but to be honest, I'm enjoying my trike just as much. I know of some who have had a Valkyrie trike but let them go for reasons beyond my own understanding. IOWs they didn't ask or tell me anything. I know that Lil Deb from NY had one I really liked, it was a Roadsmith and there was another I haven't seen on the board in a long time named Gabby. No idea what he did. Rams
