I have a 98 standard with lots of upgrades. It will soon be going to a new owner. I don't know whom that will be, but I hope he/she enjoys it and cares for it the way I have.  Cry

I have the money. I have found what I want. I will soon be buying a 2014 Valkyrie 1800 with lots of extras. It is not the most expensive, nor the cheapest, but has enough of the extras that I want to make it a good deal. cooldude

I have used the 1800 forum to adaptively mod some aspects of the 98, so thanks for all the inspiration.
I get to learn about the 1800 valk now.  2funny  Cheesy

I wondered if I should sell my 1500 when I got my 1800.

It would have been a big mistake!

Yep. If I'd had room for 2 I'd still have my 1500.

Sold my 1500 today its going to Norway and I have never looked back.

The 1800 as you know is just plain reliable and there should not be to many things that are out of ordinary maintenance.

Britman, thanks for the links. Those are awesome.

I do not want to sell the 1500, but I really do not have the room for two machines (I already have the GW trike for the wife in there), so the 1500 needs to rehome. My son has expressed and interest, so maybe it will stay in the family. Either way, I still love that 1500.

Currently looking at a bike with 1056 miles on it. It will need new tires due to age.

The new to me (and relatively new overall) 2014 valk is in my garage. Currently has 1510 miles, new tires , and a good run in the books. Tires were put on by the dealer, included in the sales price.
At 80mph, it gets between 40 and 44 MPG. At 90 it gets 37 MPG. Picked it up in Kennewick WA and drove it home to Idaho (445 miles) with not a hint of an issue in 100 degree weather.
