My uncle showed me this maybe 70 yrs. ago, too bad it won't work on our wheel bearings.

Thats a common way to do it, but, a puller works 'more better'. And it even works on wheel bearings.  Smiley

Pardon me for correcting your English but....it's "mo betta"... Grin

And I also have used it a few times over the years, have to make sure you have a good seal at the center. The uncle that showed me that just used a socket but another guy I knew had made a full set of tips on the end of metal rods. They were made to fit a number of different applications back in the day.

I actually converted a pilot bearing puller to work on our wheel bearings and it works better than any actual wheel puller I have ever used.
