He’s a pizza delivery guy, among other things. I think if he had posted on this board that he would have gone in after the Uvalde shooter he would have been met with the same skepticism as I was. Nick’s Uvalde moment came at 12:30am on July 1st. He was driving home and he saw a home on fire, and no first responders were on site. Nick got four kids out of the house and they told him there could be a fifth child still inside. He went back in. He heard the cries of another child and located that child as the smoke was getting thicker. He attempted to exit a back door but the smoke was too thick. So he had to retreat to where the smoke would not overcome both of them. He wound up at an upstairs window where he and the child had to jump to safety.

Nick suffered from extreme smoke inhalation and a severe cut on his arm but will recover. There weren’t any Nicks at  that Uvalde classroom that day. There was no one else to act at the time it mattered for those 5 kids. The fire could not be reasoned with. The fire was going to do, what it does, and then Nick Bostic shows up. No fire suit  no oxygen tank but he had something on the inside that allowed him to push his way into a burning building save those kids and come out the other side with his life. Not everyone is a Nick Bostic, but I think there are more Nick’s than we might suspect.

For more details just Google Indiana fire hero and pick your source, there are several.

From personal experience even in turn out gear it's a challenge fighting fires. A Very Formal SALUTE for Nick,  smitten RIDE SAFE.

Certainly a good kid, willing to do the right thing. We haven't heard too much about this though, at least I haven't.

Read the original story and saw the videos of the scene. The house was pretty much fully engulfed when he came out to the street with the little one.

He is a guardian angel and had some watching his back as well. I hope he can live a great life.
