One of my favorites too. We hiked a few miles past the last parking lot but did not experience any rain event. The canyon gets much tighter as you hike.
I have been caught in a flash flood while hiking the Narrows in Zion. That was a truly shocking and stunning event to behold. We were able to find higher ground before it got crazy. Water is so powerful!

I went through there after the Spearfish Inzane.  It rain on us as well, but no where near that bad.
