Can someone tell me where this position 86 black wire attaches to. It's about a foot long and I cant see where it broke off of. or might this be just an addon relay for fog lights that a can remove till non starting issue are resolved?

:question:That's not OEM as far as I'm aware, could go anywhere depending on how it was wired in...where do the remaining wires terminate?

"Can someone tell me where this position 86 black wire attaches to. It's about a foot long and I cant see where it broke off of."
My guess is the relay's 86 trigger wire is tapped into the headlight wire. This causes the fog lights to mimic the headlight. ON when ON. OFF when the key is turned OFF, and momentarily OFF when the start button is pressed in. Not withstanding a on/off switch on the fog lightbar itself.
The headlight wire is blue with white stripe. It's located in the wire loom that runs from the Right handlebar clamshell to the headlight bucket then to the Left handlebar clamshell. In the bucket itself, the headlight wire (Bu/W) plugs into bullet connectors on its way over to the Left handlebar's Hi/Low switch.
86 could just as well be tapped into the low-beam wire such that the fog lights turns ON only on low beam for legal reasons. The low-beam wire is a white wire in the H4 plug in the headlight bucket.
"..... or might this be just an addon relay for fog lights that a can remove till non starting issue are resolved?"
No harm. Just bear in mind the hidden broken-off end of the 86 wire remains hot whenever the key is ON. Also, Wire 30 is hot. You might want to double check that Wire 30 is not tapped off the headlight wire to power the fog lights. Bad juju.

Follow the wire attached to terminal 87 and see where it goes.

If you meant 86 wire (Orange arrow). By the clean cut of the insulation, the wire might have been crimped to, then yanked out of a blade or bullet connector. (sutterhome's photo.)

Steve Cain is correct. 86 is the signal input. If 87 goes to powerful horns, then 86 would be the trigger from the horn button. If 87 goes to fog lights, then 86 would be the trigger wire from the lights.

sutterhome inquires where, or to what, the 86 wire was connected to. Quote below. "someone tell me where this 86 black wire attaches to. It's about a foot long and I cant see where it broke off "

No matter what this wire was attached to I doubt if it is causing the no-start condition. My first thing to check is always the red cap on the starter relay. Pull it off and check for corrosion/melting. This happens way too often.

Thanks, that connector has seen better days.I am going to jump it out when its not a million degrees in the driveway and see it thats the issue, then look at the start switch. Does a bad red connector kill everything? Although with a bad start switch shouldn't I have basic lights neutral lights, dash lights etc?
Jumped out the red connector.Still have no electrical lights, starter, neutral lights.. zero. Can reed 12.7 at starter relay. Tried jump the with the relay 2 top screws.... nothing.
