So, when you grab a great product these days I have to say something. I am no home HVAC expert by any means however after much study I bought two Honeywell 9000 series WIFI thermostats for the home as we have two zones. This product is amazing and the set up a snap. Yes I did study the instructions for a while before I attempted the first one and YouTube clips. First of all the unit is good looking and you can set the background color to anything you want. The set up was about 40 minutes the first time and 25 the second. Everything worked flawless, it recognized and WIFI connected the first time and the slide in wire terminals easy. In short this product does what the thermostat should.

Nice! I've got Sensi by Emerson's on my two zone (Upstairs and down) setup, and have had 'em for many years. Yours looks a lot cooler though! (Not mine, but identical to it) Just basic LCD I set these up when the triplets were much smaller and their playroom is where the downstairs thermostat was; Little Mister Mensa Blake was having fun changing the thermostat. So I was researching ways to lock the thermostat out locally, and noticed that these at least you can lock the local keypad out and make it where they can ONLY be changed via WiFi... One of those things I never thought I'd care about and thought having WiFi thermostats were silly thing until I got 'em... Now I wake up, little warm, little cold, I can tappity tap tap and change that right quick. Also I set up a morning schedule to set them both to a sane level in case I got a little TOO carried away during the night... One caveat - Some brands of smart thermostat (Including the Honeywell it appears) in some states (Texas is one) default to letting the government change your thermostat settings remotely if they want to for reasons... https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/18/22540015/psa-energy-saver-program-smart-thermostat-adjust-temperature-heat

Here's mine. Probably original to the house (1960). Works great. One zone, but winter and summer have different vents open and closed.

FTFY BTW, even if you're just hotlinking off another website, usually a good idea to copy the image and squirt it onto an image hosting site like postimage, otherwise some sites will block hot linked images from being deep linked... One other HUGE advantage of the modern thermostats, especially for not-summer around here, is the "Auto" setting. You set a minimum temp and a maximum temp, and it will fire up the AC or the heater as needed to keep the temp between those two settings... And yeah, much of the year here in The Republic it's not uncommon to start the day with the heater, few hours with nothing, then few hours with AC, back to heater overnight...

I put in a new thermostat a couple weeks ago, it's a Honeywell as well. 4 settings per day ( hot and cold), and eventually (say, mid-october) I'll put it into the autoswitch mode (because yes, you can start the day (morning) in heat, then nothing, then A/C, and finally back to heat in the same 24 hour period here as well. For now - it is is cool mode, 68 the time we retire to the bedroom, 75 starting when we get up. I'm using cool mode instead of autoswitch so as to take advantage of the cool from overnight (no need to kick on the furnace to bring it to 75 right now).

Good looking thermostat I have had the Nest since the first model and I love it. I also like having remote sensors for like the bedroom at night that I can go to that sensor and have the thermostat regulate temp by that sensor so the bedroom is consistently at the best temp for sleeping. The other thing is these thermostats require power, so if you have an older thermostat and, or house and it does not have a power wire then you will be forced to run one or supply power from an alternative source such as a transformer. Earlier heat/cool systems only have the off on thermostat wires and they lack the constant power wire to charge the battery in the unit and keep it going. I like that we can turn the temp back down so the ac kicks in before we get home, so the house is nice and cool. Rather than arrive and turn it down and wait for the temp to reach a comfortable level. HUH I would have thought in your profession you would have had one of these a long time ago.

Hey that thermostat looks cool.
I do have an older Honeywell that bought back 15 years ago. This time of year, it is in manual mode cause the hot temps very too much. Run AC when house gets over 76 degrees and its 80 or more degrees outside. Then open windows when it is cooler. I do have it program to drop to 60 at night during the cool times, then warm the house up at around 7 in the morning. Then drop to 60 around 6 in the evening. It does have 4 options for changing temps during the day (both AC and heat), I have two of them disabled. Do like the thermostat as it is simple to operate and works.

Links with Alexa and can be controlled from there if needed. Also give me hi humidity alerts on my phone.

Good looking thermostat HUH I would have thought in your profession you would have had one of these a long time ago. Yes I have a Trane Synchrony program on a standalone computer that runs the chiller plant, seven air handlers and about 50% of the zones at the Van Wezel. Maybe it is because of that I waited so long. My office has four monitors, one HVAC and one Security and two to do the rest. I understand chillers way better than home units.
