Not really, but I would rather have been riding. I did ride to Lexington to do a couple of chores to get my sons bathroom ready for tile when it comes in, that’s when I knew what I should do the rest of the day. It was absolutely perfect weather yesterday, so perfect that I felt compelled to edge my sidewalks, weedeat, mow, then get out the blower to clean everything off. This was the second mowing of the week with all the rain we have had. I am enjoying the green and not coughing up dirt balls after mowing in a dust cloud for an hour!

Now I’m drinking my coffee and happy the outside chores are done and deciding where to ride on this second perfect day in a row!

Me, I have been remiss.   I did ride to a dental appointment last Wednesday, about 60 plus miles round trip.  All back roads (well except for a stop at the O'Riley place to check on an oil filter for my MF 1250 tractor.

I will/might get out today.  We shall see but for sure this coming Monday.  The decision is which bike to ride.  Last Wednesday, the Valkyrie.

I feel for you to have to mow your lawn twice in a week.   Right now, I am going almost two weeks in between mowing's due to hot dry weather causing grass to not grow very fast.

Still got in a good 160 mile ride on Wednesday before the heat came up.

Made up for lost time yesterday. Only a couple of hours on almost all secondary roads but they were about 65% roads I had not been on before. Another near perfect day in eastern Ky to be in the wind. Can’t say I saw a whole lot of photography opportunities and I’m still not thinking about that too much when I’m on the bike. I will have some next time I go out!

I haven't mowed in a month.  It's common in hot summer here.

The clover is OK but the grass is brownish green.

It's a mistake to mow short in hot weather.

Two cool mornings, two rides.

I will have to mow later today after the temp drop off.  Been 10 days since mowed last.  Only front yard needs to be shortened.  Try to leave 4" of stubble this time of the year.  Even with the 100 degrees days we had a week or so ago, the grass is still green.

Did get in a great 160 miler on roads that haven't been on since last summer.   Slow roads, "enjoy the smell of the flowers slow".   Took about 4 hours of enjoyable time with the "Fat Lady".
