Sounds reasonable to me. Maybe measure the drained coolant and compare to total capacity ?

There is a problem with draining the coolant and not taking off both nacelles or radiator covers.

You see there is really no provision on our bikes to bleed the air out of both radiators. Of all the good things our bikes have a bleed hose at the top of the radiator to go to the other radiator it does not have. This would allow the filling of the one radiator and you could rest assured both would be filled. But with the current configuration you cannot fill both radiators completely without removing the bung.

The one has the cap on it and the other has a bung at the top. On the one with the bung, the upper radiator hose takes a 90 degree down and you will still have air trapped in that one. Yes it will drain but the air will still be in it when you fill it and you are going to have a tough time bleeding it. Take off both nacelles covers and remove the bung on the other radiator and fill by the one with the radiator cap. With the bung off you will fill the whole system and any remaining air will be bleed out as you run.

Its not a hard job, but it is a bit time consuming. If you study this diagram you will understand the problem

Part 6 is the bung and you do not see any way for the air to be bleed out of the top of the radiator. All the hoses on this radiator go down so its natural to trap air.

I would put in a Red line Water Wetter in the one radiator and only take out enough fluid to put the whole bottle in and call it a day.
