Just bought 2 of these for both bikes and it matches the factor on off and res without the vacuum it pretty nice. The filter is higher then the original and the brass tube is shorter so you will have less gallons in reserve.

Someone posted look for a cbr600 one and so i went on the hunt and these was the best i could find for a decent price. Thanks to you who posted and helped out. Really wanted a non vac valve and use the stock on and off. If you dont care about the stock on off then highly recommend the pingel it the best and will out love the bike in my opinion and if these fail me i will be getting those instead

If one wants a non-vacuum petcock the original can be easily converted to such but then one should add an electric shut off to the fuel line no matter which route is taken to the non-vacuum valve.

I believe Bagger John had posted about installing CBR600F3 petcock on his valks, this petcock eliminated the vacuum but retained the use of the stock selector switch. I followed his advice and purchased the Honda part PETCOCK ASSY. 16950-MAL-601 $62, not an area I wanted to buy an aftermarket version of the Honda petcock. Just my .02  cooldude

We talked about adding the electric shut off but have yet to do so but think its a great idea just in case. After alot of research it seems that maybe the hydro locking was happening from the petcock vacuum failing and allowing bypassing right into the cylinder being more common. But in the case you dont shut off the petcock and you have a float get hung up it for sure would cause the same issue.

Yes I believe that was same person i took his advice. I dont mind aftermarket parts i feel they have come a long way. It was more about the speed i could get it and amazon next day so worked perfect for me.

That I did. Wink

Dan-Marcs are in the works for both of my Valkyries as I get the chance to access the carb areas. My I/S has the CBR fuel valve, while the Tourer still has its vacuum petcock...and another CBR unit is ready to install in that one.

Yes it does.
I’ve had mine on for over a year now with no issues. I have turned off the petcock on several occasions while riding to test it and I am extremely satisfied with it.
The new pick up tube is lower than the original Valkyrie petcock. I replaced it with the tube and filter from my original petcock.

I went with a CBR600 fin K&L. I too switched the stalk. No issues as long as I remember to turn it off like back in my Harley days.

Yes the screw threads on just like factory. Res up and on is down and left if off. So far no issues real happy with the purchase of the moto1988

Make sure you put this on your tank if converting to a manual petcock:

I guess the ultimate question is whether or not there is enough gas in the carb bowl to hydrolock the cylinder?

How long, at idle, will the bike run when the fuel flow is turned off?

How long does it take to fill the bowls and start?

Bagger john i like that idea. Probably going to add electric shut off in the future but having other issues to chase first. Full carb rebuilds on both bikes all new o rings idles fantastic and throttle up great at first then falls on it nose like it running out of fuel.

Riding ron with my limited experience with these bikes they seem to idle a long time cause when i dont have the tank on i use a bottle to feed it fuel. And also when i remove the carbs and put on the bench to drain the fuel their quite a bit of fuel in the whole carb assembly itself. As far as filling the bowls both of the one i have been working on have fired off very quickly. The petcock seems to have really good flow so dont think flow is a issue im having currently. Next is using the Digi sync and dialing them all in and see if throttle response is better

Remember, the Dan Marc Electronic Fuel Solenoid does not prevent hydrolock, it shuts off the fuel to the carbs. there is enough fuel in the lines and the carb bowls to fill a cylinder.
Hydrolock is caused by many other factors.
I would use the Dan Marc as a anti-theft device, have it on a hidden switch in the event someone decided to help themselves to your bike.
