August is gone! Still a lot of good riding weather to go, just have to take advantage of the opportunities. Today was fine here in Richmond but the grass was really getting rugged. Just a quick trip to town to buy new tags for my Impala SS that has been off the road for a few years. Traveling to my mothers tomorrow to drive it back to Richmond for the first time since 2020. Sure hated to park the bike and start pulling out all the yard equipment, but by Friday or Saturday I would have had a hayfield. A little wind is better than none.

Actually, I enjoy mowing (most of the time).   Not as much fun as riding the Valkryie but still getting out there in the breeze.

I enjoy mowing much more than before I got the Exmark Radius zero turn mower.   Now, just check the fuel and oil levels, put on the "Tunes" headphones, startup the music on the iPhone, and away we go.

Oh, forgot the hat, gloves and safety glasses.  One never knows.

The only issues are the areas I am mowing were not created as "lawns, just cleared and flattened and allow the wild grass to grow.  Still have some "potholes" in the part in back but.....

And just like that, I drove to my mothers house to pick up my car, and only one problem. I didn’t bring the keys Angry.  I needed the visit anyway. Mothers birthday was Monday and there were a few “momma do’s” that need to be attended to. I don’t know why the keys never crossed my mind, not even contemplating did I leave them at mothers house last trip or bring them home with me. Yesterday and today have been a little hectic so there’s that, yep, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. cooldude

Well, I can't swear this is true but, I'm told John's neighbors used to question why he wore ATGATT while mowing, they thought the helmet was a little overboard until they..........   Oh, never mind, I'll let John tell that story.   Wink

Well finally got the old girl home. A uneventful 100 mile drive from my mothers garage to Richmond

Spent the weekend going over the brakes as they didn’t feel like they should and after bleeding them much I improved but maybe not there yet.

All the horizontal surfaces are fairly well sunbaked. Or should I say “patinaed “?

Car rides pretty good but with 213,700+ miles the front suspension components all need to be replaced. I guess I’ll have plenty to do this winter.

I still have one more car to rescue but I have run out of room in Richmond so best I can do is try to get it moved to the empty spot in my mothers garage.
