I don't want to get into much detail right now, but I'm off to Montrose to see a specialist for a biopsy and perhaps a  surgery tomorrow.  Swollen lymph nodes in my neck and some other symptoms make this one a bit spooky for me.

I would love that Mike, I hope so too!   cooldude

Funny you mention this, I was promising myself if all goes well I am getting out for more, longer rides.  Maybe even some aimless coddiewomples!  I've been burning some daylight, and spending some time over the last couple weeks waiting for appointments, worrying, pacing the floor and even shedding some anxious tears.  At least I'll know some more tomorrow...

BTW, I enjoy exploring dirt roads -- unless they become washboard-y.

Sitting in the lobby waiting for Cheryl to finish "big city" shopping and come fetch me. She loses track of time when doing so, could be awhile.  Lips Sealed IT'S NOT cancer, Doctor's confidence is high enough he says no biopsy is called for. Thanks so much everyone! This club is awesome.

Hey! Don’t know how I missed the start of this thread because I definitely would have put a shout out to the big guy upstairs for ya so I’ll get some out for future use.

It’s great to hear you have a huge load off your shoulders and have reason to celebrate. Hope everything is smooth sailing ahead.

That's good news Colorado.   cooldude

I've been going through this myself.  The PET-CT said no lung cancer (despite the few spots IDed on LDCT), and the MRI said said no prostate cancer (despite the elevated PSA and giant swollen sonofabich, and a negative 12 strike biopsy 13 years ago).   Of course, this is no guarantee of future fun.  The worry is not fun.

In the meantime, I have changed my diet for life, walk a couple miles and exercise every day, lost weight and my pants fall down.   Grin

Thanks again, prayers no longer needed but I'll take an extra!   Wink

A big scare and huge sigh of relief.  Long story short, it is a fairly large (marble sized) protrusion growing under the tongue from the bone in my lower jaw, and another smaller one growing near it.  A few more still along the other side.  Very unnerving, but apparently not particularly dangerous.  I have some other complicating factors that were potential cancer red flags.  Like the Tom Petty song, The Waiting Is The Hardest Part.  It was.  It took about 10 days to see my PCP, who recommended I see the specialist in Montrose.  That took a other six days.  Much pacing and reading scary internet oral cancer sites.  The Montrose office had indicated on the phone that they may just remove the entire foreign object at my first visit, I was pretty wound up the night before seeing the head, neck and throat guy.

It was good to discover In have a weird chunk of bone growing out of my jaw!  The lymph swelling was unrelated to this, and is resolving.

Most times in life, we worry more than the outcome would warrant.  Thankfully this was no exception.

It was weird enough that my PCP thought a specialist should take a look at it.  Admittedly browsing the gnarly oral cancer pictures on the internet between appointments didn't help much.   ick

calcium deposit? bone spur?    cause by poor ratio, imbalance of magnesium to calcium in the body, always due to low magnesium levels.   also caused by the inorganic calcium put into the food system, the body can only deal with and needs organic calcium.

increase magnesium intake and bone lumps should recede over time.

Not related to your suggestions, but thanks.  The doctor explained, in detail, what the bone growths are.  They do not recede, but hopefully in my case they won't grow a whole lot more over the course of my lifetime.

did the doctor explain how calcium and magnesium imbalances can cause abnormal bone growth or did they just blown u off and say its just congenital anomalies?   doctors are controlled by ceos in drug companies, doctors actually have very little education on how the body actually works at the nutritional level to prevent conditions.

suggest u research the imbalances to prevent it from getting worst or then you will seek surgery to stop the pain exactly what the medical cartel industry wants, big $$$$

Some motorcycle forum commenters are WSJ readers.. they are the smartest of the smart.. just ask them..

Of course, they would never turn a prayer request thread into something negative.. they're too smart for that. :/

Some motorcycle forum commenters are self styled doctors. They are not the smartest of the smart. They  give out unwanted and unwarranted advice at the drop of a hat. Many times they give out dangerous opinions.

I'm not attacking you. Those whackadoodle web sites you base
your life on are not educational.

doctors actually have very little education on how the body actually works

aerospace engineers actually have very little education on how to develop aircraft and spacecraft.

computer scientists actually have very little education on how to write computer programs.

Well Cos, the attackers actually have to make things up to do their attacking. One just flat-out lies and the other one takes a sentence out of context because they're so smart.  uglystupid2

Meanwhile, a nice prayer thread along with well wishes and some sharing of information goes to the dark side.. No wonder we have another board, some people just can't help themselves.  crazy2
