We got back to the desert yesterday. Somewhat of a shock to go from 60* and rain to 110* and sunny. Before we left Walmart had a bunch of kayaks that they reduced from $800 to $150. We bought 4. It’s too bad the grandkids only had a few days use out of them, they really enjoyed them.

Just over the border in to Canada we encountered a double rainbow.

Somewhere in BC we came across a black bear that my granddaughter took a selfie with.

At Liard River we came across some bison.

Somewhere down there obscured by smoke is Crater Lake.

Then it was on to the Redwoods.

My granddaughter is somewhat of a ham and we kid her about posing for photos. Brayden and I decided we would get in on the act.

Our last month in Kenai was nearly constant rain. I was ready to be leaving. But now I miss the the morning flight of the local loon and his calling. The time spent playing SkipBo and Uno with the grandkids is already missed also.

Your granddaughter has had much more practice posing than you two guys and it shows. She may have a future there!

Heh, looks like the granddaughter barely escaped that encounter with the bear alive, judging by how much it tore her pants up!  2funny

Thanks for the pics, I still need to make my way up there, and yeah, still wanna make it to Prudhoe Bay...

I didn't realize they were placing oversized garden gnomes among the Redwoods nowadays.   Wink

We went down thru Prince George, Kamloops, Osoyoos. Went thru a town that I hadn’t been before called Chetwynd that was FULL of the most intricate chainsaw carvings. I should have taken the time to get some pics of them.

In my 64 years that is the first pink anything I’ve ever wore. But I’ve got to admit I like it. Brayden is not only growing in size, he’s growing intellectually by leaps and bounds. (I am a pretty lucky guy)  cooldude

Thanks George. Look forward to riding together again. I hope to make John’s Prescott event.

Grin I give her grief over her pants all the time. (You would faint if you knew how much holey jeans cost)

By the sounds of it, if you'd of been through a couple days earlier, you might have passed (or should I say "been passed by") a pack of Valkyries, as our Saturday Valhalla  ride took us on a very spirited run from Grand Forks to the overlook above Osoyoos.
