Nope, your internet isn't broken.
I've been preoccupied playing adult games with our neighbor !!

Still here!  cooldude

In July I helped Bernie with maintenance on his Interstate. This included removing both wheels to have new tires mounted. When re-installing the front wheel, we somehow screwed up the speedometer ring that is seated behind the dust washer on the left side of front wheel bearing. When Bernie went for a ride later, the speedometer was not working.

Last Friday we decided to tackle this problem and hopefully fix it. After taking the front wheel on and off several times to make adjustments to the speedometer ring and also talking with Brett about the problem, we had hoped to be able to fix it. No go. We concluded that a new speedometer ring was needed. Bernie has ordered it and when it comes in, we’ll make the switch.

It was a beautiful day, so we still took a ride even though Bernie had no speed read-out. Despite that, Bernie kept pretty close to the speed limit. We headed to the American BBQ Smokehouse & Grill in Rowley for lunch. Excellent grub! Afterwards we headed south on 1A to Ipswich for a soft serve at DQ. It was a fun day, despite not being able to fix the speedo.

Yesterday with temps getting into the 80s, Sherry and I took a nice mostly back road-ride to Bentley’s Roast Beef on route 101A in Amherst, NH. Beautiful ride up through Groton and Pepperell, MA into Hollis, NH. The sandwiches are pilled high with thinly sliced rare roast beef. I highly recommend it. Sherry had a good-sized lobster roll on a gluten free bun. Sorry guys, no pics were taken.

Afterwards we headed home on all back roads. Coming through Townsend, MA center on route 13, we saw a large gathering on the Town Common that looked to be a craft fair. We looked to see if we could spot Paul or Kathy, but didn’t see them.

Stopped at Wachusett Reservoir on route 62 in Clinton, MA on the way home to stretch our legs and enjoy the beautiful day. Met and chatted with a couple who had a side car rig attached to an early 2000s HD Heritage Softail. Pretty cool! Total for the day was 114 miles. Was a great day.  Smiley

No Wall, knowing you, it's definitely Operator Error!

Terry, I'll bet you only played that charade once!

Tony, great ride report as always! It really made me miss home and all the great riding roads New England has to offer and the friends I used to ride with.

Still one of my favorites!

Great hearing from you all. Tony I can't believe you wrecked Bernie's bike. Bernie, should have just called Brett.
YB, your neighbors are dumb. I would have got it right away.
Ron, you are right. I'm sure it is operator error.
