The unthinkable occurred today...

I actually put the can of pancake batter I won at the last meeting (Thanks again Al Lamb's and Wanderer!) to use...

It'd prolly been a good five years since I'd done this... But I went out into the garage, put the bike up on the lift... And started cleaning...

There's a shiny bike under all that crud, believe it or not!

Had to resist the urge to immediately hop on and ride out into the rain... Cheesy

Anyway... Just such a rare occurrence, I had to share...

I even took the bags off and cleaned up in there!

I even got the camera out!

(And yeah, I know, for some of you clean freaks, mine still looks filthy, but hey, it's the shiniest she's been in a LOOOOOOOONG time!)

She runs better now too, eh! Gotta be faster having lost so much weight. Thanks for the mention, but all I did was deliver the freebees from the good folks at Al's. Be sure to thank them when you go in for the free oil change, Brian!

After... And yeah, went for a few short rides this weekend, and it WAS faster! My theory is that, since the blue and ivories are, as all intelligent people know, the fastest, since it's cleaner, the blue and ivory colors are MORE visible now, thus they have an even greater impact on the performance...

I washed mine last week.  I rode it in the rain.  That cleans it off, right?  At least the top few layers.
