We drove past a sign to her ranch in Western TN yesterday. I asked the wife if she was still alive - we didn't know...

I'm not normally a country music fan but she was a very special lady.  Her music did speak real messages to us.

She was real deal country.  Wrote most of her own stuff, and made her mark just being herself.  R.I.P. Loretta.

To be honest I don’t even know any of her songs nor would I recognize her on the radio. I don't recall ever hearing anything bad about her and many people enjoyed her music making her a musical legend in her time and from some comments still a favorite.

RIP Loretta.

everyone on here am sure has heard her songs,  Cole Miners Daughter and Don't Come Home a Drinkin with Lovin on your Mind.    My parents use to listen to her and Patsy Cline, among others, all the time.  Nowadays country music is too POP or rock n roll (sort of) and I prefer the old 70's country old school music that is TRUE country in my eyes.  One of the classiest tell it the way it was country females of any generation.  She will be missed, nice sweet lady.   Amazes me how she and the likes of Dolly Parton went from rags to riches thru hard work and perserverance never giving up in what trhey believed in.

Her and Conway Twitty sang some great songs that actually told stories and they made such a cute happy couple singing together.  May both RIP.

Lost a great lady here folks. As a teenager I had a buddy whose grandmother lived within 5 miles of LL’e dude ranch in Hurricane Mills TN. I spent a few summers on her property and was able to meet her a few times. She was as country as turinp greens and sweet as apple pie.
Never once did she not welcome us on her place. Great lary right there folks whom I will never forget.
