Made it to Dubai on Friday - safe and sound - and went and checked out the world's tallest building in Dubai (The Burj Kalifa) yesterday.  Here is a short video I shot. 2,717 feet.

You lucky SOB! You have NO clue how jealous I am right now!!!

Thanks for the video! Take lots of pics in Dubai, really wanna see what the place is like, beyond the magazine pics they WANT you to see of the place...

Take care of yourself there!

That bulding is amazing.

I like this picture of it,I wouldn't fancy being the crane driver.

On a lighter note,,,,I hear the government over there have banned The Flintstones film,,,,,,They say that people in Dubai wouldn't understand the film but those in Abu Dhabi do.  Grin

Maybe I don't pay close enough attention  uglystupid2 but... Dubai?

Do you regularly stop over there, or are you working there now?

How about the inside ski slope there?

Just here for a two week class.  Haven't seen the mall with the ski slope but I check out the Dubai Mall with an Ice Skating Rink and a 10,000,000 litre aquairium inside it yesterday.  Post pictures later.

That is the Dubai Mall that you see on the left as the first guy dives and both landed in the courtyard in front of the mall.

Amazing - not very big where they landed.

It reminds me of the old Bible story of the tower of Babel.
