EEZZZRIDER, AKA Ron Heathman needs some assistance. He used to live up here in Ft Wayne IN but now he lives in Ft Meyers FL. His bike was in a storage unit when the Hurricane hit. He told me it was in 2 to 3 feet of water. I have instructed him on some basic stuff to do like drain the oil to check for water and pull the plugs and spray oil in the cylinder but I'm not there so there is not much I can do.

Is there anyone in the Ft Meyer area that can help him out? He doesn't want the bike totaled but the local dealer will do just that, not to mention they don't work on older then ten year old bikes. If anyone here knows of anyone that can help him please message me for his number. Thanks...

Was it in salt water? That is a game changer.  Also Haps Honda in Sarasota will work on anything. Call Haps.

A bunch of difference between 2 and 3 feet of water.
At the 3' level the engine and almost all of the electrical would be totally submerged. May have been some relief at the headlight but that would be about it.
If salt or brackish water, given the time between when Ian hit and now....probably a total loss. Am assuming there was a decent amount of salt in that water since it was wind driven.

Florida based. Travel-to-you maintenance for $60/hr + parts. I could come down this weekend and get him running before sunday. Get him to call or text me.
