It is our 40th anniversary weekend so I got us a vrbo rental up in Lake Placid Village

Terrific colors  deep reds and oranges from here up to  around albany area by the time we got to Lake George area many more evergreens and colors bright yellow and orange also in Placid area

Great meals, scenic town. The winter olympics was there twice during the last century

On the way back stopped in Putnam Station at the north end of the Lake George forest where my brother just bought 72 acres with a 15 acre pond (with beaver dams).  Good hunting and atv trails and  he has 2  nice neighbors that hunt and ride ATV's, but you cant see their houses from his place which is good also

So there was no way I was going to the fall color ride when we had so much fun here

Hope y'all had a blast

Yes, congratulations on the 40 years and many more.

I went back through my "trips" to see if we (wife and I) or me has been to the Lake Placid area.  Closest I could find was a trip in June 2019 that had us at Indian Lake and a overnight stop in Ticonderoga.

I can now see, since my search was not very fruitful, that I need to go back to all my routes I have taken and create a map of the trip.  Half have maps, half do not.  Does not take long to do, just have to do it.

Give me something to do this winter.

I am glad you are enjoying life.
