And you put bacon gravy & biscuits in the search bar you Will find lotsa recipies. I found out it cooks up Very Similar to sausage gravy which IS a good thing. And I was mostly happy with the outcome. MY BAD a tad too much flour but I was sorta able to rectify that! Soon Sausage and Bacon gravy! Anywho with that nasty 6 letter word starts with a W rearin it's ugly head well warms up yer insides! RIDE SAFE.

Whether good or bad, there's a problem with trying to make Bacon Gravy at my house, most of the bacon would never make it into the gravy.............

My better half likes bacon as much as I do - That bacon or Bacon and sausage Gravy sounds like a good idea over some homemade biscuits

When I was in the Army they had a breakfast called Sh't on a Shingle, it was made with white gravy, on toast only it was made with ground beef. Wasn't bad as I recalled compared to other breakfasts served there.

I always thought SOS was S**t on a shingle, with the "meat" part being dried beef. Then my wife made me hers - yummy!

I would consider "bacon gravy" to be an abomination. To hide Bacon, BACON!, under such gluttonous glop is sacrilegious and has no place in the culinary universe.
Sausage gravy with biscuits and an ample side, minimum of 12 oz, of bacon is the Holy Grail of Breakfasts.

While in the Corps I had a friend that told me, "If you put enough Tabasco on anything it tastes like Tabasco." It was always on the table.

Can't say I am fan of biscuits and graver of the "S" on the shingle thing.
Brings back two things. My time in the US Navy, don't recall a bad meal. But it was a long time ago.
Second thing, 1962 or so, my trip from Myrtle Beach, SC to the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM. We traveled by Greyhound bus (about 30 or so scouts of my age say 16) stopping at military bases overnight. That let us sample dinner and breakfast. Maybe that is why I really wanted to join the Navy. They always had the best food.

Ha, the main reason I joined the AF was the food.. it was awesome. Midnight chow was crazy good, I guarded my meal card carefully.

I make my biscuits from scratch and my gravy is usually with my own ground pork with my special ingredients. My brother complains that he gains weight when ever he visits. I hold a gun to his head and make him eat. Josh Cilley gave me a thumbs up for my biscuits and gravy.

Biscuits of just about any sort works for me as the quality of the gravy makes the difference to me.Too much baking powder/leavening agent bothers my GI thus Pillsbury Flakers is my usual go to bisquit. I make my gravy like a rue and prefer spicy sausage seasoned with black pepper and sage. B&G is mostly a supper at our home. Bacon gravy, meh. I prefer my bacon on its own.

While I was growing up mom made a lot of bacon gravy.
She didn't put bacon in it, she just made gravy from the bacon grease.
It was a dark gravy but it had the bacon flavor.
Sausage gravy made with a good quality spicy ground sausage is by far my favorite.
I remember SOS as a white gravy with small pieces of dried beef in it.
SOS and powdered eggs was the standard Army breakfast in the field.
