I have been taking ever since my hips started hurting a few years ago 2 500mpg aspirin 2-3x's per day to help take the edge off.  The hip surgeon said to alternate between Aleve and aspirin every 4 hours but I think the Aleve inflammed my stomach and possibly did not help prevent my diverticulitis I had this May so I stopped taking Aleve just in case it had something to do with my diverticulitis.  The drs. when 4 days in the hospital said Aleve, which I never have taken prior to hip pain,  can irritate the tummy if used regularly so I stopped it back in May after outta hospital.

Aleve (naproxen) is the only OTC that can touch my pain.  Unfortunately it makes me bleed and is very dangerous.

DItto on the Aleve being the only thing that really touches my pain, although 1000 mg Tylenol does help. Unfortunately, I have an area of ulcers right above my stomach that the G.I. doctor said to stop with the Aleve for a while. Bleeding (extra) has never been an issue for me, however.

I also have bleeding issues from my ulcers with Aleve. Tylenol Arthritis strength seems to help a little. A doctor I had about 25 years ago told me "you have arthritis, get used to it". When I told my current Dr. of this diagnosis she laughed pretty hard and asked if I had gotten "used to it". Ain't getting old a challenge sometimes.

Naproxen here. One 500MG tab in the A M and another in the P M. Keeps the edge off which helps me deal with what's left. I also KNOW I'll Vever be completely pain free. But I CHOOSE to look at it this way-when I am feeling pain pretty sure I am still alive!  cooldude So there's that!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

My wife bought us a pair of these shirts a couple years ago.  Grin

As for a solution for your clutch hand, install a MC from a 1800 VTX as they have a healthier clutch pull. I got mine from Riley's off Ebay for $35 delivered. Bolted it on, bled at the banjo connection and done a just in case bleed at the clutch.
