Was lookin around on the internet here and found this sight on the Missouri State Highway Patrol site. Basically, it's a database that you can search all kinds of different variables that contributed to accidents in missouri last year. You can narrow it down by vehicle type (car, truck, motorcycle) and you can further narrow them by sex, injury type, location, contributing factors (speeding, dui, etc.) and time of year.

Interesting facts... there were 83 fatality motorcycle accidents in Missouri last year. 10 were alcohol related. 52 were related to hazardous/aggressive riding. The three highest concentrations of motorcycle accidents were St Louis County(STL, MO), Jackson County (Kansas City MO), and Pulaski County (Ft. Leonard Wood MO).

St. Louis, Mo area population 2.8 million
Kansas City Mo area population 2 million
Ft. Leonard Wood area population less than 25,000.

Yea we have lost way too many in this area. I bet we have one of the highest concentration of bikes per population in the nation though.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. 3 of the fatality accidents happened on the route I take to work everyday.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Wow, i'll have to look up Ind, but I think its lower then that. I don't recall any fatalities in my county this year. Did loose a biker aquaintance a few days ago at 37 yrs old. He partied to hard a week ago.  Undecided

I like looking at rally stats. This year was the 1st time in a few years there was no fatlities in the 3 or 4 counties that surrond the Black Hills. Pretty good for 475,000 people in 2 weeks. Usually there is a av of 7 deaths.

Hey! I do my part to keep it safe, when it is snowing or raining hard I ride the Spyder. Come to think of it I see snowflakes falling right now and it is almost time for work.
