so tragic.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11358375/Florida-lawyer-advocated-against-helmet-laws-died-fatal-bike-crash-without-headgear.html

Ron Smith, 66, was heading to a memorial service for another biker in August when he crashed his bike into a trailer attached to a truck
His 62-year-old girlfriend, Brenda Jeanan Volpe, who was a passenger on the bike, was also killed as Smith tried to slow the bike down
It is unclear whether wearing a helmet could have saved the pair, however an autopsy report confirmed both died from blunt head trauma

So sad whether for or against helmet wearing.

Although a good idea and I usually 95% of the time wear a helmet, I do not disagree if someone wants to not wear a helmet.  Much like wearing FULL gear vs. me wearing shorts/tshirt on a cycle 90 percent of the time.  Do what you want is your body.

Certainly Ironic as well as tragic.

We live and die with the choices that we make.

But we should always be free to make our own choices.
