I watched just a few minutes of the "thing" and did not recognize that.  You, sir, are correct.  Those are the words from the Declaration of Independence.

Good ole Thomas Jefferson. Hell of a guy. We could certainly a few of him today.

Of course the remaining committee members of Adams, Franklin, Sherman and Livingston made some changes. We could use a few more of them too.
