Lane Splitting

Now that Lane Splitting is allowed in AZ I'm afraid that we are gonna see Bikers getting hurt. I was sitting in traffic about 5 cars from the stop line when a Sport Bike startled the heck out of me.
Of course he made sure to make some noise as he passed my open window.

I had a Harley split the lane in front of me yesterday. I totally forgot about them changing the law. I was thinking he might get got by a cop.

Lane splitting is not legal. Lane filtering is legal. Big difference.

There's a good explanation about lane splitting/filtering in the middle of this video...

Doesn't matter what you call it, you won't be seeing either of my bikes doing it. Baggers are just a bit too wide for me to be comfortable.

I only ever wanted to use it on backed up (CA) freeways. So I could get to the next exit and get off.
Slow rolling between stopped cars is not hard, even on a fatgirl.
I was never amused by the crotch rocketeers flying at speed between cars. Gives all of us a bad name.
I see no need to roll up to the red light between cars... people do not like that at all.
