Hangin' out here beats a tree on the head any day!

Titus, AL

« on: January 25, 2010, 07:02:33 AM »

well, i finally did get a job offer (on my OLD job)...late Friday afternoon. They not only offered me my old job....but ADDITIONALLY, asked me to be in charge of the 20 folks down here at this location. That's good. Then, they cut my pay. not so good  uglystupid2

More responsibility....less pay. Hey, at least i have a job still! the pay cut wasn't too much....so...i'm not really too upset. Again, I HAVE A JOB!

meanwhile, i've gotten over my pneumonia....and Sherry's pneumonia is getting better. My wrist is healing up nicely. So all in all...things are improving i'd say!

Oh, Cheaha....go register. NOW IT'S VALK RELATED..........Git-R-Done!  2funny

the same job (different company) that I did for
23 years...but at 2/3 the money..and starting
today an additional 5% pay cut. Angry ??? tickedoff

I make 1/2 what I did in New Orleans but a much easier job plus weekends off.  You can adjust to "less" much quicker than adjusting to "nothing".

Glad it is working out for you, Tim.  cooldude

i'm happy you've got a job, i'm pretty upset that some companies (not saying yours) have used this economy to "clean house".

i've never been much for unions, and since america is not as independant as it use to be twenty years ago, it seems that alot of companies are taking advantage of the working mans hardships.  employee's are a dime a dozen, and they know it!

Glad to hear things are looking up for ya Tim-Bob...Tell Sherri I said howdy. and give her a hug for me.......

My health took a big ole drop in da crap bucket, so I don't know yet if I'll get to ride MGM anymore......  Ya remember the state rep dinner in puddy town, and I made mention, and cut it short, that was when all this crap seriously started.........   I kept fighting it, but nature has a knack for catching ya not looking.

Will have to see how things are in April.......   Still on O2 and it don't look like I'll be getting off of it any time soon.  tickedoff

Great news Tim! A cut in pay stinks; but having a job in this economy is good.

I know I'm thankful every day that when I come to work and my key card let's me in the door. We haven't had raises in two years, no bonus and no 401K match. Cost of living goes up...our parking fee was just increased and the Federal Income Tax was increased the first of the year. However, when asked to do more work or the same work with less people I say "What can I do to accomplish the task and how much more can I do?"  It seems I don't complain much, if at all, not that I really did before. The way things are today to have a job is "priceless"

Patrick and I spent this past weekend in northern Michigan where Inzane 10 will be held. It was beautiful with all the snow and ice formations on the lakes. We can't wait for Inzane, come on July!  Now my post is valk related.

Blessings

Are you an organ, tissue and eye donor for your state? Did you know one person can save or enhance the lives of up to 75 people. The # of people waiting for organs in the US would overflow the University of Michigan football stadium. It's the biggest in the country. Will seat over 109,000.
