Inside of Interstate Fuel Tank

I have an interesting question.
Does anyone here have "pictures" of the inside of our tanks. I had my tank sealed a few years ago and now that I'm ready to have it painted I have found out the vent is plugged.
I would like to know what the path (how many bends) and where it ends. The tank was sealed with the red seal and I have learned that Acetone will eat the sealing material so hoping I can unplug.
I know I can buy a vented fuel cap, but really looking to stay with original keyed fuel cap.
Thanks in advance.

Use some wire like safety wire and run up through the tube from the back to the front. As I recall not much in the way of bends, maybe double the wire over so it's larger to make a bigger hole.

Guitar strings work very well for this type of stuff.

Metal coat hanger, vent tube goes up to the top of the tank back to front along the “spine” and terminates near the fill. Cut coat hanger and pre bend to allow it to slide up easier, cut tip on a diagonal to act as a sharp point. If you can get your hands on a bore scope you can see inside the tank, you might be able to rent one for free from an auto parts store. If it’s an interstate tank you can look through the fuel level sensor opening under the tank

You can buy endoscope cameras for about $20 on Amazon that plug into your phone or computer.

F Y I . Old speedometer cables or clutch or speedo cables make very good flexible drill bits. I have used this method for many years. Drill in the opposite direction of the wrap. I have several in my stash.
