My wife is not much into sports. But she has always got into hockey. She used to get pretty excited when our son was a kid and played. It’s refreshing to hear her go ooh and aah again.  Smiley I’ve noticed as I’ve aged, I pick up on the incidental things a little more. My first 40 years of watching hockey was hanging with a bunch of white dudes drinking beer. It’s kind of nice to bond with a 25’ish year old Mexican young man about hockey. I’ve also noticed that the young kids of today are pretty adept at hamming for the cameras. It’s nice seeing 6 year olds enjoying being on the teletron. I’ve also noticed that drinking $60 of beer and climbing 70 steps to go pee 6 times is good for the cardio.

Rob,

Yeah, I imagine it is pretty gratifying to help them still go ooh and aah! Been a while since I've experienced anything like that... Perhaps your cardio exercises are an important part of that success, but yours's are a bit rigorous for this weary, aging relic! The beer would be worth a try, of course, but I dunno about those frequent trips up and down all those the steps! Congrats on sharing major slices of life with the one for whom you care most!!!

Cool report Rob.  Everyone knows you did good in marriage department and are above your station. Smiley

$60 in beer?

What's that, like 6 beers?

Yes, you did good but you really need to buy that poor gal some new jeans. I noticed half the leg of her jeans was missing in one pic.  Wink

Yeah I know...that's the "thing" these days.  Grin

Was watching Edmonton Vegas last night. I couldn’t help but think about these 18 US $ beers…. And it’s probably Bud Light Wink. Here in Calgary a beer is 12 bucks and if you get there for happy hour its 6 bucks which is a super good deal. Even 12 bucks now sounds like a good deal!

Funny how this showed up on FB while discussing this.

But it’s on topic……kinda.  Smiley
