To anyone else arriving on Thursday …. I suggest we gather at Buffalo Wild Wings and partake of wings and some Shiner for dinner.  I heard Bruce was buying!

Let the games begin!

I'm with Serk on this.  In fact, for the uninformed, dictionaries have been illegal since early 2021.  In an effort to dumb down the human race, all dictionaries were burned when newly elected President Biden conspired with highly developed reptilians, who had burrowed through from the underside of the flat earth.  So, obviously, gullible cannot be in the dictionary, since there are none.  But, if there were dictionaries still in existence, Rams' picture would be next to gullible.

DDT,
I can't address the Shiners question but, I can say that Connie and Serk are both very interested in taking home the A.S.S. (Liars Contest) grand prize and title.      I would suggest they are practicing up for the competition.  Wink

On a serious note, I've been advised that not everyone is going on a ride.  There are some that are caging it to Hattiesburg.   So, I'm been looking for opportunities or things for those folks to do or experience.

Found something I thought was interesting.   Mississippi Hot Glass.

Learn to blow your own glass.

https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/mississippi/enjoy-glassblowing-at-mohawk-steel-and-glass-ms/

Just wondering if anyone has an interest in doing this, the initial class/orientation is $5.00 and lasts less than an hour.   The instructor is also a metal sculptor and build all kind of "different" things.

Regardless, if you have an interest, let me know, if there are enough folks, he'll do a special class on Saturday morning.

I knew what you meant and you're correct but, the one thing I've learned about this site, never give your "friends" an opportunity, it'll usually come back to bite ya.

Regardless, I still hope you're able to come to Spring Fling, your friends will be there and there's always a pool nearby.   Wink

Carl,
I've been to the "artist's" shop twice now, I've seen part of the process and his equipment.   (Connie, don't go there.)   Tongue  I've seen some of his work, it's actually pretty interesting but, I doubt he'll fire up his furnace for less than 5 or 10 folks.   He uses an amazing amount of gas to heat that thing up.  But I'm pretty sure he has a class in the afternoon and will check on that possibility if we can get a few others to go.

While the glass blowing sounds interesting, I wouldn't want to miss out on the exhibition of traditional Mississippi dance, music and culture that Rams and other locals have committed to putting on that day...

I'll take that as a compliment, thanks.   Actually, the only dance I know is the Texas 2 step (aka: The Barn Yard Shuffle).

For reasons yet to be determined or fully understood, the Food Truck is canceled.   I don't have the full story at this point, will share what I know with those interested at GZ.

The good news is there are four other eating establishments a very short distance away.   (Like across the parking lot for two of them.)   Hooters and Outback are very close, Wendy's and another restraunt (can't remember it's name is very close.

There are other eating establishments on the south side of Hardy Street, I can provide directions if asked to most facilities.

Gas is available about a 100 yards from GZ and a Class 6 (Liquor Store) is about a block away for those who are interested.

Sorry about the Food Truck, I was told their food was really good and reasonably priced.
Just goes to show ya, there's always something that'll come up and bite ya just when you thought you had everything covered.

No worries Ron. For anyone who doesn’t want to ride (or walk) for food, there is always pizza delivery.  Thanks for the effort though.

I need this right now more than I can put into words.....

That's the same thing I used to tell a previous girlfriend.

Of course, she would understand and we'd always go for a ride on my motorcycle.

Bummer on the food truck, but you're a boss for trying to cover all the bases, Rams!

Did I hear it right that some folks are coming in Thursday and wanted to meet at Buffalo Wild Wings and maybe consume some wings and beer, such as Shiner Bock?

If so, I'd love to be there! What's a good time for those shenanigans to ensue?

Ya know, this whole Thursday evening thing was a Janice idea, I'm thinking she should be answering these questions.

Janice?

Oh Janice.......................

HEY SWEETCHEEKS!!!!!!

Hmmm   question

Sir, the individual that advised me on his approximate arrival time is a former Marine and therefore can be depended upon but, he may have gone civilian on us so......................   My understanding is that the two later arrivals have a ETA at GZ about 1800 to 1830 (6:00 to 6:30 PM for you civilians) or so, I would think (and this is just a SWAG) that 1930 or 7:30 PM would be appropriate.   Please note, this is just a SWAG and cannot be depended upon.   Will be looking for your arrival.  Wink

With this much notice on the food truck, I’ll bet that Rams has already dug a pit and we can expect a full Hawaiian Luau experience with a pig in the ground! He’s such a great host and willing to go the extra mile or mile and and a half for his friends. Hope I didn’t spill the beans, there will be beans right?

With 700 miles between us, there should be numerous opportunities for some road kill! Or , there’s still time to get the word out and organize a wild hog hunt and then we could all watch your favorite movie, Wild Hogs???
