Here's another interview by Jordan Peterson, talking about AI. Kinda scary, it may be too late but I'm thinking some limitations should be put in place.

I’ve been following this too . . . simply fantastic!

This is the next monumental wave, in simply . . . everything.  This is coming on at light speed and there will definitely be a learning curve on use.

World wide knowledge as we know it has been consolidated in to a creative non human entity for free use by the masses.

Hold on tight, this is going to be a wild ride.

The supplemental video of how they get this Atlas to see and function is pretty interesting too. These guys are really moving along on this.

Regarding the A.I. and the laws governing such devices, they have already been established and just need to be formalized.

It was done by Issac Asimov in 1942.

Three laws of robotics, rules developed by science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov, who sought to create an ethical system for humans and robots. The laws first appeared in his short story “Runaround” (1942) and subsequently became hugely influential in the sci-fi genre. In addition, they later found relevance in discussions involving technology, including robotics and AI.

The laws are as follows:
"
(1) a robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm;

(2) a robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law;

(3) a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.” Asimov later added another rule, known as the fourth or zeroth law, that superseded the others. It stated that “a robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.

They can't think (yet), so they would suck I guess...

It will be scary when the robots can build, repair and upgrade themselves. Then it will be time for them to get rid of all the useless stuff.

Hmmm, if I had a robot that could do all that, I sure wouldn't be standing up there hammering whatever.

When they really get human like, when the guy says " I forgot my tools again," they will say "I guess you better get down here and get your own tools."

 After watching some of the other videos where the engineers talk about development of robotics, I can only imagine they are working of this as well.....
