Are our collective memories that short?

Mine isn't, but they've done a lot better at keeping the BS off the field (or off the cameras).

Still, I've always preferred most college sports over pro.

But I like football too much to never watch, though I rarely watch.

The only thing the Superbowl has for me... is that it's the last game of the year (till next fall).

(the Pro bowl is not real football)

I don't get it.  I swore off pro football when they endorsed disrespect of the National Anthem and our flag... as did many of my friends and acquaintances.  But, now, it seems that all is forgiven or at least forgotten.

I don't get it.  Are our collective memories that short?

My affinity for sportsball has been stated many times, I mainly watch it now because sportsball has become one of Serk Jr's autism interests, so I play along for his sake...

...and while I do joke about it I've been trying to adopt more of this attitude, both about sportsball and, well, just about life in general:

The point is that the organizations (NFL/AFL) enabled/endorsed the actions.  If you're now watching, you have implicitly forgiven them.  Waiting until a couple minutes after kick off accomplishes nothing.

Not mine.  And Seek, you need to modify your map to show only the eastern quarter of Pa is rooting for Philly.  Western Pa hates Philly.

Something going on that has any bearing on my life? Nope , got a new to me .308 sighted in today. Also loaded another 1k rounds over the past week for the goat gun sighted at 300 yds. Planning a rodent hunt in w NE with another long range rifle at the end of Apr.

Pro sports can wait up until hell freezes over.

Woah woah woah, let's not be too hasty! The game was held in Arizona, let's wait for the counts, re-counts, lawsuits, cheating, etc to play out over the next few months, THEN we'll know which team scored the most!

It was played in Arizona, in Cardinals' Stadium.  It was pointed out to me that whichever team won the 'Bowl will have won more games in that stadium this season than the Cardinals.

The ref's decided the game with that last holding call. I was pulling for the Chiefs to win. But not that way.

Ridiculous call. I was pulling for Hurt and the Eagles but really didn't care. I actually predicted the Eagles to win 38-35. Wife was impressed that I got the score right Roll Eyes I enjoyed the game though. coolsmiley

KC OL was holding the whole game nothing was called.

heavy betting to win was on the eagles, the corrupt wwwnfl vegas controlled refs helped esp that last call for the bookies to win.

wwwnfl has a history seattle/steelers game to help the team with a coach retiring to win the superbowl. andy is 64 and has stated he was leaning to retire after the SB. steelers coach now an analyst retired after his SB win

agree with both comments.  Refs once again stuck their nose in and called a hold on the eagles when it was very iffy at best.

I won NO money or won the pool but was close.  If I woulda picked Mahomes and the Chiefs and a lower scoring game (I picked under 49.6 points) ,  I probably would have won the work pool.

Gotta admit though, the Chiefs, despite that holding call to help them win,  played a much better 2nd half vs. Eagles easily won the 1st half, and deserve to win that game playing better in the 2nd half and despite looking not great 1st half, was still in the game not down by much.

Seems like both defenses never showed up to play, except the Chiefs in 2nd half stopped the Eagles a few times is about it.

I do not mind Mahomes, but Kelsey is a JABRONEE.....

For what it's worth, the Eagles guy says he was holding...

"Eagles' James Bradberry admits to committing late-debated penalty: 'It was a holding'"

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/eagles-james-bradberry-admits-committing-late-debated-penalty-holding

(Yeah, the argument there were other infractions that weren't called. Not my area of expertise, just pointing this guy said he did what they said he did.)

Uncalled violations happen every game, most likely on every play by multiple players.   The refs do the best they can while trying to keep the game honest and moving.

The refs can't win regardless of how the game ends.   I could have predicted the refs lost or won the game before it ever started.   Roll Eyes
