Chevrolet has just announced that they are building 20 Corvette GT3.R factory race cars for public consumption. Better hurry, they will go fast in more ways than one! How much? If you have the ask, you know,,,.

My father- in -law got the Z51 that he custom ordered 2 years ago from the factory and is now on the waiting list for the 2025 Corvette Zora hybrid. That thing has 1,000HP. Powdered by the same engine that's in the Z06 which is their LT6 V8 5.5 w/ a flat-plane crank that produces 670HP with 460 ft-lb of torque and then has two 160HP on each front wheel which makes it all-wheel drive. Oh yea and if that ain't enough, it is also twin-turbo charged as well. It will also have a wide body kit on it to house the extra wide Michelin tires. Also may have carbon fiber wheels but that's not a definite yet. I think I had read its 0-60 time is 2.6 seconds (with the Z07 track attack package). The Ferrari and McClaren can finally move on over!
Pops is 73 years old, smokes like a freight train and drinks like a sailor. Overall, he is good health, surprisingly. Don't misunderstand me, we wanna keep him around for as long as possible but none of us live forever.
The current Z51 is willed to me and the Zora will be as well.
Dreaming of the dream car!

Pops must know that those cars are a better investment than money in the bank given our countries monetary policies. I saw where a C3 Corvette with the ZL1 427 just sold at auction for $3 million+.
Oh, I almost forgot, don’t do anything to piss off Pops or Amber!

On a much smaller note, I read yesterday that the 2023 chevy camaro will be last year to get one will be discontinued for 2024 and most likely forever until an EV version comes out in a few more years, NO GAS motor.
decisions, decisions: Do I got turbo 4 banger, adequate V6, or the choice of 6.2L V8 or 6.2L supercharged V8? Common sense tells me get the V6, but I really want the 6.2L V8 probably without the supercharger since probably requires 91 octane premium fuel. Gas mpg wise my guess V6 will get 25 avg mpg while the V8 will get pushing 19 mpg.
Not quite the perfomance of a corvette, but close enough for me for sure in a RWD car in the snowy winters in WI outta be fun??? I know of a few richer people than me in this one horse town and a few have muscle cars stored in their garage ONLY taken out to drive a few times per year in the summer. NOT me, would not be a daily driver, but would for sure be a monthly or more driving vehicle.

We are living in a grand age of performance vehicles none of which I could afford new. But the used market holds endless opportunities. My corvette was $42k new, not what I paid once it was 10 years old, but a great bargain as to day its worth more than what paid for it!
