Anyone have problems with the electrical connection under the right side cover. It has a fuse and two cables connected. When my bike was hot a few months ago there was a loud clicking noise when I shut it off. I took the connection apart cleaned it an applied dielectric grease. Has been fine until yesterday when hot it made the same noise. Not sure if I shout replace it or not?

It is your Start relay and yes you should replace it. There is an automotive relay that can be put in its place if you choose to. Do a search and you will find it.

And remember: dielectric grease is not a conductor. It is good for keeping water out, by smearing on the places
water might get in. It is not for smearing directly on contacts...

I think this is the thing you're talking about...

They heat up and melt sometimes and leave you walking. I only
took mine apart once and it was fine, but I've seen melted ones...
A clean one with happy not-corroded contacts probably covers
any trouble that thing might bring...

The contact inside can corrode and make a poor connection or not at all.

This is one possible fix.

Yes keeping connections clean with regular maintenance will alleviate problems.

Another option is to go to Pinwell on ebay and buy a used replacement.
They sell them for $4 or $5 each with free shipping. Just watch for one off of a low mile bike.

I checked Pinwell out. Bought 2 used ones for a total of $9.44 free shipping. I’ll test them if they work I will place one in my side bag.  I again clean up the connections on the bike and no more sounds when she is hot.
