Hi All,
I've been lusting after a Valkyrie for about 20 years, lurking on this forum for ages too.
Well I finally found a 1999 I/S in black with only 6k miles on it.  coolsmiley
Very happy to finally have a dragon in my garage, now I just need to fix that low mileage issue!
Already found loads of learning and reading in the tech forum, my thanks to all those who have contributed there.

Located in the Clear Lake/Kemah area, in case there's any others nearby, let me know.
Are there any local rides, events or meetings I should know about?

Welcome Kiwi.

I have two black '99 Interstates (one with the trunk, back seat and back pegs gone)   cooldude

Zoom zoom.

(with only 6K on it, I hope it doesn't have any wildlife living in it)  Grin

Howdy Kiwi!

Congrats on your new ride!

There's plenty of Valkyrie riders in your area.  I'm in Central Texas.  If you're headed this way to ride some Hill Country roads, give me a shout.

Ride safe!

Howdy and welcome from north of DFW, Kiwi!

If you're reasonably handy, you can do most everything yourself with the correct advice.  Most of what you'll find is dependably good.   cooldude

There are a few sources out there that are less so.   coolsmiley   Especially if you decide to do your carburetors yourself.

If you haven't already, check out InZane XXIII in Roanoke, VA coming up in June.

Reasonably handy but somewhat limited due to old injuries. Love the satisfaction of jobs done well though.
Not sure about Inzane, still figuring out the timetable of life events. Seems like camping is limited in the area?
Is there a breakdown or Itinerary for the event? What usually goes on at this gathering?

No wildlife found so far but one of the neighborhood cats decided it was worth sitting on as soon as it got here!

My extra special sweet yellow cat clawed my Utopia backrest to shreds while she was
enjoying sitting on my seat... I'm glad there's doors on my motorcycle sheds now!

Welcome to the VRCC team! You'll never look back. Get out and ride and look good at InZane. You may have some from your area going!  coolsmiley

I seldom look good anywhere  Cheesy
But getting more miles on this bike is a priority I think.
I will see if I can make it to Inzane, it will take a bit of shuffling of timetables, but it sounds like it will be fun.

Thanks Franco.
I'm still working on the cat issue... they are not good at respecting limits. tickedoff
