No wise cracks from you guys in Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin (or Norway)....but we are having a VERY RARE snow day here in Nashville.  Predicted 4-9" which will bring the town to a shutdown.  I see my neighbor rushing to the store for milk and bread....lest they have to resort to cannibalism of their family members!

This taken abot 1 hour later...if this keeps up, the kids may actually get enough snow to build a snowman (snow without grass and dirt)!

You call that little dandruff snow! (hey I'm not from up north so I can tease). We had 10 times that last night and it just started coming down again. We might end up with 2" before it's all done.

I hope you can get out and make some snow angels Jim.

Enjoy it while ya can...  You will probably be riding, next week!

Anyone hear how Scott is doing?  Yesterday he was saying they were gonna be thumped by an ice storm...  Hope he's OK.

Lets see it was 10 degrees here this morning. Got about a foot of snow.
Nobody here walking to the store. This is almost spring weather here in upstate New York.
Just wish they would make snow tires for my valk. Hey who knows maby a rattlebars snow plow adapter next.. If it gets down to 10 tonight I will have to put a sweater on to shovel..
We are tuff in Buffalo/Rochester. But I admit we have not tried the ice breaker thing.
Not yet anyway.

The snow continues to fall in Nashville and as the panic unravels I suppose that we don't have it quite as bad as some of the folks in Oklahoma.  I just got a call from Jim Lynch (Pharmboy) that he has been without power since 3:00pm yesterday (along with 138,000 other folks in Oklahoma).

This is a big deal here in the south, he had just mentioned to me that he had gotten a ride in on both of his bikes day before yesterday!

I would imagine that Scott and the rest of the folks in OK are seeing much of the same weather.

Even if we got no more snow....this would be considered big snowfall for Nashville....however 4-6 more inches are predicted for tonight.

We've been lucky so far here in my neck of Indyanner.  Only had a 4 1/2" snow for our biggest storm, so far.  February is notorious for one big storm (usually 8-12")  We've had  worse luck with the 1" storms, local DOT doesn't feel inclined to treat the roads for light snowfalls.

Best wishes for the southern bro's that have gotten hit with the deep stuff - no real equipment to get rid of it.  And ice is always a problem for everyone!

Shovel what you can to get out and then sit back and relax.  It'll melt soon enough.  Mother nature is being a PIA.

Cmon Spring!

The "once in a decade" snow is almost over here in the Nashville area...the weatherman says we got about 9" in the past 24 hours, however it doesn't seems quite that deep to me.  Regardless, the highways are a mess with virtually no snow removal or salt on the roads.  It is right down dangerous out there right now!
