Finally heading down to Florida again this year for the Leesburg Rally.  It has been way too long but glad we are going again.  Looking for some good routes to take down and back.  Would like some really good bbq suggestions as well.

Are you living in Florida now or just visiting?  I am riding down.  we usually go down through the mountains and pick up 95 down in South Carolina but looking for some other options.

If you give me a few more days, I will send you a GPX file of the route I would take.

If you ares still planning to come down via the "moutons", my route will bypass most all interstates in NC, SC, GA, and FL.

The route I would suggest is just rural NC, SC, GA, and FL but there will be some four lane US highway included.

I can suggest a return route as well that is not identical to the "go down there" route.

just on a vacation with Bonnie

C rider I would love that route...   We have taken 81 to 77 when we wanted to miss DC traffic, stopping near charlette NC for the night but it took a lot longer

We will take 75 up  and cross to 95 near Daytona probably  You likely get off at outerbridge crossing we get off at 46 and take the Palisades Pkwy to TZ bridge

On the way down we stopped in Rocky Mount, had lunch with friends in Jacksonville and spent the night in Delray at Bonnie's folks place then across 75 to Naples   Try to average 75 ish on the road or speed of traffic    Wink

We had 2 days for  the road is all then 22 days here   On the way back we will be visiting friends in Florence and maybe Philly   I have 4 trials the week I get back and a few real estate closings already booked   This is a working vacation also, had 2 pre trial conferences via Teams today

How are you enjoying retirement?
