Anybody run the Michelin Commander 3 tires ?  Was looking at the possible rear but they list a 180/65R-16, how different does that fit than the Metzler 180/70R-16 ? I know that just from the numbers the circumference should be smaller, thus the revs will be higher at a given speed, but some manufacturers vary in real world measurements. Wanted to check in with someone who may have tried one.  Thanks !

Plug your sizes into this site and get your exact measurement answers.

I ran a mismatched (smaller, but close) Michelin Commander II up front, and it was a good tire and handled pretty well (and had no release agent on it to speak of), but it did not last long (enough to justify doing it again).

I experimented with a couple different fronts (including a rear on front), and am now resolved to just run properly sized ME888s in front for good.  I like and trust Metzlers.

Car tires in back; 205 60s.

I ran one for a little while.

The increase in RPM's was more noticeable than I thought it would be.

When it came time to replace it I couldn't get another one within a reasonable amount of time.

So, I replaced it with a Metzler Cruisetec.

The Cruisetec is now my go to for a rear tire.

They ride well, handle well and last longer than anything else that I've had on the rear.

I really like my Commander  II on my Std. By far the longest lasting MC tire I've ever  had . A little RPM increase but not that noticeable.  The Std is my knock around bike and no long trips, so it's  fine. I like the way it handles. There is a slight vibration from the tread pattern, but barley noticeable. Will probably not try the Comander III.
