My girl and I have both had parents pass in january. We've both had joint pain since then.
Got in to my doctor and asked him what if anything I could do. He suggested glucosamine/ chondroitin.

In the last two months my two 'raw' spots have nearly stopped hurting!

My girl has also started on it, waiting for results.

Thanks for letting us know. I have Arthritis in my shoulder and my Dr. gave me a steroid shot last year and it left me pain free for 9 months. This fall i asked for another shot so she gave me another of the same thing. This time tho, it only lasted a few weeks  tickedoff I can hardly lift anything over my head. I'll go to the store today and see if they have it, and i sure hope it helps!

Hey I sure hope you find what you need, works for me, but let's be clear, not all supplements work for everybody.

Go in and research what modern medical industry says about glucosamine/ chondroitin, then go in and research what everyday people say about it.

Totally different.

My 93 year old mom just got a new right shoulder replacement (with the updated technique).

She rehabbed inpatient for about 5 days (not much rehab), then went to a private place for a few more weeks (great rehab).  She and her surgeon are pleased with her result.  Now she wants the other one done.

ME:     Mom, what's the rush?

MOM:  Well Jess I'm not sure I have all that long left you know.

St least she doesn't want another Harley.   She owned one of those 125 2-stroke Italian HD Rapido's back in the day.  Then she moved up to a 360 Honda twin.

wasting your money with anything that has chondroitin in it. its molecules are too large to pass through the intestines.  best to provide materials so the body can make the chondroitin.

much better products and lower $$$ than that.   salmon oil is very good and fish oil pills that are high in DHAs at least 500mg which really helps for inflammation.

collagen peptides  should also be taken. lowest cost directly from them esp when they have sales https://greatlakeswellness.com/collections/collagen.

look into taking creatine monohydrate, increases strength and energy through the ATP pathway.  don't do the loading phase they talk about, just take the suggest daily amount. they lie about the loading phase to sell more product. I read the medical test reports 30 yrs ago, loading was only used for burn patients to rapidly increase the levels for their severe health condition.

There is also this product called shoulderspere   Damn if it does exactly what it says

I have used it with great success and have loaned mine to friends who also benefitted

To me none of us needing a shot or surgery and being pain free is a home run

They have 2 sizes, we started with the smaller one.  Now I only use it a few times a month

I give it 5 starts,  very small learning curve, wide variety of exercises

The only supplements I take are something called mobilify, and with my breakfast shake I put in some superfood (from Dr Schultze) and some Magnesium,    I will say that collagen protein also has a benefit for me when I am hurting

Every morning I walk at least 5k that helps keep my hips and knees happy

Good luck to you
