Three students and three adults at a church/private school and the shooter killed.  The shooter appeared to be a female teenager according to the Nashville Fire Chief.   Two assault style rifles/weapons and a pistol were the shooter's tools of destruction.    
The first call came in to 911 at 10:13, the local LEOs responded and the shooter was dead at 10:27 AM.
My sincerest condolences to those effected and my thanks to the LEOs who obviously saved many lives.

So do we say she assaulted the school with the appropriate style of weapons? That's a bit cold.

My observations is we are seeing the young folk increase their propensity for violence.
This has been trending for decades.

I believe it is the result of the reliance on medicating these kids for everything. Particularly behavior issues.
Now we're spinning the big wheel on kids and transgenderism. Dosing them with puberty blockers, hormones, and who knows what else while scaring them into compliance for surgical sexual butchery.

Is it any wonder we got kid flipping out all the time.

Geez, just look at the trans and abortion activist crowd. These guys are socially aggressive, violent, and angry all the time.

Last week, here in Massachusetts, a state police vehicle was broken into in the parking lot of an apartment/condo complex overnight, and a rifle was stolen. I commented on a facebook post from a local news station. I asked whether the officer would be charged with having an unsecured weapon (as I would if I left a loaded firearm in my vehicle overnight) and why they kept calling it a patrol rifle, when they call the same rifle an assault rifle when a civilian owns one. As many of you can probably guess, my post was removed and I was blocked from their page.

One correction:  A select fire rifle of intermediate caliber is an "assault rifle".  The term "assault weapon" is a made up term by the media.
They keep saying the shooter had two "assault weapons", but neither one by their own definition was an "assault weapon".  One was an AR pistol with a stabilizing brace (not a rifle or carbine), and the other was a pistol caliber folding carbine made by Keltec (in 9mm), but the mag well was not in front of the trigger as it would be on a true "military" carbine.

I do give major props to the police for their rapid response and their perfect use of force.  They took no chances and dumped a lot of rounds into the cretin.  Pretty sure it was a face shot since every video I've seen has that part blurred.  
All officers who entered the building should get the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in my opinion.

Uneducated?   Hmm OK.  

Self-Defense Rifle?   Hunting Rifle?   What term is most appropriate.  
I doubt many on this board have fired as many different military weapons as myself  (I'm also a 2nd Amendment supporter and self-defense advocate with whatever the hell works) so, having said that, I stand corrected on the misuse of the term in the quote but, it was not my error.   I suppose echoing the news in the term was inappropriate to some but, that's precisely what it was.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that only 1 shot was fired.

I find it hard to believe that they would accidentally shoot themselves multiple times.


So, a single gunshot is fired and an entire community goes on lockdown?

Students are barricading themselves in rooms and are terrified?

Nearby schools are placed on lockdown as well?


I understand being cautious.

And the Nashville shooting is still fresh in everyone's mind.

But what happened to being sensible?


Unless that gun was the size of a Howitzer, most of the people that were overreacting didn't even hear the shot.

They were just feeding off of and into the mass hysteria.

decided to not post new topic but post on this other school shooting recently, but as most of you know Madison WI 15 year old female student at private Christian K-12 school shot and killed 2 as well as herself, 2 more in critical condition still at UW Madison hospital.  Since so close to where I live some 35 miles away,  am so sick of EVERYONE, most importantly, the US govt officials like biden/harris just jabbering and not doing a darn thing.

My thoughts some might now agree,  the US govt. should step in and cough up the money for ALL school systems to have an armed security officer monitoring a metal detector machine at all entrance/exits in EVERY school in the USA.  I understand larger school systems would take some time to go thru the metal detector, but too darn bad, the way it should be would eliminate 99% of in school shootings IMO. 

I see around me that all healthcare facilities upon entrance has 2-3 security guards with metal detector having to go thru why NOT all US schools?    Seems like a common sense approach that will work.

Like said,  all the govt and higher ups do is TALK TALK TALK and NO action,  this is one action they can do easily just gotta allow the funds to get it done.

I packed a pistol going (commuting by car) to law school in downtown Detroit (freshman year night school).

Several people using our dedicated U parking garage across the street had been mugged/beaten/robbed in that garage.  

I'm glad there were no metal detectors there (not that detectors in Jr and Sr Hi might not be a bad idea).

I was a threat to no one but muggers.
