I don’t get out near as much as I used to. If I’m being honest, retirement has been pretty low key. Today I went grocery shopping with Brenda. She is the main shopper, but every once in a while I have to remind her how to do it properly. As I came to a stoplight I heard the driver front brake grind. I said I’m going to have to fix that. Brenda asks what ? And then she tells me “oh yeah, I heard that a couple days ago”. We get home and it slips my mind for awhile. Here’s where the night people interest comes in.
About 8pm I think about it and decide to run and get the pads to do them tomorrow. As I’m on my way back home the chill in the air has got me to roll up the window with it just cracked an inch or so. As I stop at a light the pickup in the left turning lane next to me has some noise coming out of it which I first believe is rap music, because that is not uncommon these days. But as I’m sitting there I realize it’s not rap or any other music, but a man with a strong southern accent yelling at the person with them. It was dark and I could only see shadows really. But I assumed him to be about 30 or 40 by the sound of his voice. But, who knows ? By now I’m intrigued and trying to listen. I can only really make out about half of what he was saying because of his accent. But it was obvious he wasn’t happy. Their arrow turned green, but he hesitated because he was engulfed in his rage. They then start to make their turn and the last sentence heard was pretty clear. “When you come in the bedroom, you make that look good”.
Now I’ve been trying for 30 minutes to put his statement into context. I should have made an illegal left turn and followed them for “the rest of the story”.  Smiley

Haha, my wife tells me “ I’ve been hearing this grinding sound for a couple weeks now, what do you think it is?
Hello parts store? Yeah, rotors and pads please….

As far as the angry guy, sometimes I’m ok with being 1/2 deaf ….
