Smokin Joe says if these storms put the major power lines down in Tennessee and surounding states he will have to make it back. Now either Lucky Thirteen and I can go and Trailer him back or he can use this helpful video I found on You Tube.

They may need to at least wait another day before heading back West.

I've rode my Valk a couple blocks a few times on almost solid ice just to get off my ice covered block. It's not pretty. My drive is a very gentle downhill with a turn onto the street at 90 degrees. You naturally want to try to keep your legs out and ski the bike down the drive but the problem is that you also don't want to touch the front brake (she goes right down when the front slips) so you have to raise the right foot and use the rear brake.  On pure ice the rear slips just as easily as the front and it's not pretty. You ever try to hold up a 900 pound Interstate with one foot while the rear tire slides all the way down the drive because you can't stop the motion? It's not pretty. Just a bit of gas and the rear tire breaks loose, it's not pretty. All this makes you sweat in all those heavy clothes before you ever get to moving enough to need to heavy clothes.

Valk on ice, it's just not pretty.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

If I know Joe, he'll carry his Valk home before he submits to "trailorization"!
