I've always found this to be prophetic:  (I covered it up a bit to keep it PG but I'm sure you can fill in the blanks) I had a sticker with this saying on the back window of my pickup truck when my wife and I started dating. For some reason she NEVER found it humorous.  |

Motivational (and true) Today, I found a nearly deceased full size yellow jacket on my kitchen floor. I fully deceased him and put him in the garbage can. I didn't think much of it; he probably came in on my jacket or when I opened the back door. Twenty minutes later, I discovered a fully alive big one on my kitchen window (and disposed of him too). This got my attention (and high motivation), and I spent a half hour searching like crazy all over the house to discover if they are in the house somewhere/somehow (which would not be a good thing). Every window and drape, and flashlights in the corners. So far, no others found. One OK, but two? This is the season for yellow jackets finding new nesting spots, and they need to be headed off and killed. They are not aggressive at all in early spring, and mostly you will see single hunters looking for rotten wood or ground holes. Beware.  Sorry for the drift. |

Growing up on an island on Lake Erie, I must have heard that one a 1000 times (always by boat owners).  Belt sanding and laying 18 feet of nasty fiberglass bottom in the dead of summer, was not my idea of a good time. And since I was working for dad, there was no pay. Sometimes even being the friend of a boat owner sucks. |
