We went on a whim to game 2 of the Knights/Jets playoff. It was a bit of a splurge of $500 for us, but it was fun. We can only afford weekday games. Hotel was only $65 vs. $300 this Saturday.  Found a good Mexican restaurant within yards of the Arena. Though their margaritas weren’t my favorite. Got pretty good seats, and enjoyed a really good game.
Came away from the day with a few thoughts. I’ve noticed Vegas steadily rising over the last 2 years. It seems to me there are as many people now as ever. Traffic, even on a Thursday afternoon, reminded me of years past. The amount of people on the Strip seemed as high as I ever remember it. After that nut job massacring those at the concert, and a couple years of COVID, it seemed Vegas might never come back. But now with the new stadiums and teams things are vibrant and exciting again. It’s good to see.
My second thought is how out of shape I’ve become in retirement. There was time not long ago when several traverses of the strip was not an issue. Now, it’s important to get a room within short walking distance of the event. I probably only walked 4 or 5 miles, but was sore the next morning. I’m afraid exercise is in my future.  Undecided

Vegas back?  It must be due to our booming economy.   coolsmiley

Last time I was there, December of '21, it was hopping almost like normal...

Biggest problem I had was it reeked of weed, EVERYWHERE, on the strip, in the hotel rooms, just everywhere... Kinda a put off if you're not into 420...

Glad ya'll had a good time!

ex worked for Coke at a convention she helped organize years ago.  We stayed at the Bellagio. 10th floor overlooking the fountains.

I drove a rental car out to the Hualapi reservation and stood at the edge of the Grand Canyon where the Skywalk is now located.
