It had been sitting for a year with a mere 10k miles in 8 years and put a new battery in and it fired it fired up instantly..that fuel injection is pretty cool about that....took it for a ride and wondered why I hadn't riding it more-great fairing-the adjustible windshield, cruise control, great power,6 speed tranny, impecable handling-that skinny front tire lets it drop into a corner so much better than the Valkyrie....then I came home and lit the wick  on the ATTIC RAT modded Valk w/Viking  header....well it rides like it  has 2x the horsepower and it makes a LOT more noise..kinda like dumping good ol'Marge for a  buxom teenager cooldude

I drive the C8 1.25 miles work and back -The Dallas traffic is super heavy everywhere-so many people have moved here.I have hopped onto the local hi-way and stomped on it a few times--it is actually scary -the upgraded tires stick so well it just hurtles ahead..it drops gears instantly and requires both hands on the steering wheel and any slick  spot could be a disaster...I saw an in car video of one on some track with some high speed banking in Europe and it looked to more terrifying than fun--one little slip-up and you bought the farm as my dad always said-he actually beat Phil Hill in his private Gull Wing Mercedes and the factory Briggs Cunningham jaguars at Road America's first 500 mile race for the pole position  in his street Corvette. He  was a maestreo

Have you considered doing some baseline dyno runs? I’ve been curious how much horsepower is being delivered to the tires. My old 99 C5 rated at 345 hp made 317 hp to the tires on dyno at the LS fest in Bowling Green a number of years ago. Probably had close to 60k miles at the time so I was impressed.

By comparison and to not drift to far from motorcycles, my 99 Valkyrie made 93 rwhp the one and only time I had it on a dyno. Performed at a Victory dealer many years ago, everyone viewing the runs were impressed.

on the net their is plenty of info...I assure you it has all the power you can use on the street and a track day will not leave you asking for more..at least for those who need to drive it to work the next day

I’m just interested in factory ratings vs rwhp. It seems those number have gotten closer as the years have gone by. I’m sure the C8’s power is more than ample

I just googled the Corvette's top speed and according to Chevrolet it was 205 mph...it does the 1/4 mile  in the 10 seconds.....money buys speed...seems blowers are the best option...I'd bet a blown 'Busa would be the best bang for the dollar..sanity would suggest some track days at your local venue-here in Dallas there are lots options..there is a go-kart track up north..it is not with out it's own risks..I saw  my son go vertical but he somehow steered out of it Undecided

hmmm, 1.25 miles to work suggests an e-bike is in order to get?    Huh?
