Looking for help with for a friend's CTX 1300.....

A friend of mine bought a Honda OEM trunk for his CTX 1300.

Apparently, it came missing a crucial part.

 

The lock plate didn't come with it.

Too much time has passed between him purchasing it and installing it to send it back so he needs to find a lock plate (Part # 4).

I'm hoping that maybe somebody here has one that they'd part with or knows of a substitute part that will work.

I suspect that this is the same trunk that went on the ST1300.

I wouldn't know where to start looking for one other than a dealership, but if you're talking about part #4 it doesn't look like it would be terribly difficult to fabricate during an afternoon in the garage. I would start with a length of flat aluminum stock of the appropriate(or close to it)width and work from there.

    Maybe look that up at a site like Partzilla or something? That part yer needing just might have it's very own part number. RIDE SAFE.
