Joe and I are going to the River City Bike Fest on March 27 through the 29. Plans are to leave for San Antonio from my clinic about 4:30p on that Friday and ride to SA. With stops for gas, potty, and food should arrive about 11p. Staying at the KOA cabins. We will attend the bike fest on Sat morning til mid afternoon then go down to the market for dinner. Mi Terras (sp) in the market. My favorite mexican food place in the whole world. Ymmmmm! After a couple of their margaritas you won't care about the food. That's why we take the bus from the KOA to the market. Sunday morning it is KSU at 8am for a ride through the hill country. Out hwy 16 through Bandera, Kerrville, Medina (along the river) to Fredricksburg, then the Willow City Loop and on to Cooper's BBQ in Llano. Going on north up through Glen Rose and back into the Metromess. Should be about a 12 hour ride on Sunday. There will be at least 5 bikes going on Friday and anybody else is welcome to join us. Make your own reservations for a place to stay (KOA cabin is $52 per night for two). The web site for the rally is www.rivercitybikefest.com. If you wanna ride with us, let me know so we can all meet up. L

Would love to have the company leaving SA on Sunday morning. We plan to leave the KOA on Gembler at 8a and head out Hwy 16. Will stop about evey 100 miles for gas and leg stretch. Always stop by the Medina River just to enjoy the scenery then again on the Willow City Loop before we make our way to Cooper's in Llano. Right now I know of two valks, one vulcan, and two of those HD things that will be riding with us. It would be great to have you guys ride along. Come out to the KOA and ride from there or let me know some other meeting place. My cell is 469-595-3222 or we can hook up at the bike fest on Sat. Larry

Looks like we have about 7 bikes making the ride out of San Antonio on Sunday with some stopping in Llano for BBQ and then returning home. The rest of us will ride on to the Metromess. If anybody else wants to be a part of this just let me know and we will make arrangements to meet up. L

Hey Doc,
Like to meet up with you all next Sunday. Will be coming from the Driftwood/Dripping Springs area...Willow City? Or would Kerrville make more sense?...I guess one of your planned leg stretchin's would be best.
Like to get some good BBQ in LLano!

Hey VBJ. We are leaving the east side of San Antonio at 8 am. We are meeting Old Geezer at 410 and 16 in San Antonio. Then gonna ride right out 16. We will stop for gas about every 100 miles, again at the Medina River, then take the Willow City Loop (will stop 3 times on the loop just to look and take pics), and then on to Llano. I can call you at each stop and let you know where we are, or we can set a place. Lookin forward to riding with you. Larry

My experience on that ride says 10ish is probably a little early. I am not gonna hurry on that day. Gonna stop and smell the roses (mmm, bluebonnets) along the way. I have your cell and will call along the way to update you on our location. Larry
