Another quick question regarding my newly acquired 99  Valk. I took off old cam shaft covers to replace with chrome covers, and found an accumulation of a dusty tan colored corrosion on the inside of the original caps. Anything to worry about? (This was the rig that mostly sat for two years prior to my buying it.) Thanks all.

Clean it out and lube the bolts. Don’t worry unless oil leaks in there.

If it's like B, it's the cam cover gasket not sealing 100% after 20 years. If it's like A, it's the cam holder. Different type metal or sumpthing (bottom pic.).
