cooldude I was in Tallahassee earlier this week. I rode some of the roads we will be on to make sure all is good. Great smooth roads and the canopy was nice and shady! coolsmiley

In Tallahassee tomorrow and Friday to be sure all is good for next week. Roll Eyes The weather has been spectacular for a while now in the Pan-handle  temps low 50s and warming up to near 80. I believe we can expect much of the same next week. Can’t wait and looking forward to seeing you all.  cheers

I was really hoping for 60s as a low. But I guess it’s better than the 90s. Can’t wait.

Ok, so it’s set. I’m taking the car to Tallahassee. There’s a guy that lives in Tallahassee that has a Ford Cobra replica. He’s a friend of a friend and has been helping me over the phone getting my car squared away. I invited him to our Friday ride. So there will be two race cars chasing the motorcycles through the woods.

I was in Tallahassee on Wednesday thru Friday and now back in Milton this evening. It was a beautiful couple days and it looks like it will continue thru next week. I attached the future weather outlook.
Also, I got reservations Thursday 26th at the Backwoods Crossing restaurant again this year at 5:30 for dinner/drinks. I've got us outside again unless it is rainy. I reserved for 14 of us but there are tables for more if necessary. I'm planning to be at the StayBridge Inn by 4pm. Looking forward to some beautiful ridding around the area. Be safe all and see you soon.  coolsmiley

Just picked up my bike from Wood last weekend. Runs and looks great  cooldude
Leaving after work on Thursday. ETA 8pm. Hope to make it before The Bucs kickoff.
Looks like it will be a much more enjoyable ride up than last year. I rolled in last year about 10:30 pm frozen cold. Last 3.5 hours of my ride was in the dark with temps in the mid 40's.   ick

cooldude I remember that Vance, it was bad for you and you got in pretty late. It is going to be a great weekend. I sent Wood a message and he said he had delivered your bike. We will see Wood and Erin on Friday. You'll probably miss the dinner as it starts at 5:30 but we will see you at the hotel and join in on watching the game. Safe travels bud.  coolsmiley

Ok after two tries I finally got the axles pulled out of the car. Yep drivers side is toast!  Glad I called the flatbed. Parts on order and will be back together shortly

Glad you followed your instincts. Are you going to do both sides and the pinion seal too ?

Hopefully they’ll send you the right parts the first time. Seems I get the wrong parts sent 3 times out of 5 lately. Good luck and keep us updated.

Yep!  Got the new bearings in today. Shouldn’t take long to be back on the road

These new sexy looking bearings pressed on. We installed them and changed the rear end lube. That was a challenge because there is no drain plug.

The car is back on the road. Judy and I will take it to the RTE tomorrow

Went for a short test drive and it’s SMOOTH. I guess both bearings were well past their service life.  If all goes well I’ll die before this has to be done again lol
