It is a 10 minutes video.

I guess the 4th amendment no longer exists:

Call me naive, but if we, the people, have to follow the law, our government must follow the constitution.

It happens everywhere.... every day. BECAUSE.... COPS HAVE QUALIFIED IMMUNITY.
They know they are doing wrong.... They also know nothing will happen to them because of the qualified immunity....

I support LEOs, but as a former MP and K9 handler, I know many of my fellow officers had an authority complex, and regularly exceeded their legal authority.  Any violations of constitutional rights need to be address and the officers held accountable.  They are given training, they just choose to ignore it.  I hope the citizen prevails in his lawsuit and the officer is reprimanded.

I've had relatives who have had to deal with illegal stops, the courts offer no relief.  In one case the public defender was fired when they threatened the county prosecutor to challenged if the stop was legal.  In most counties it seems the Public Defenders and Prosecutors are buddies and look to find a plea deal as quickly as possible instead of going to trial.

This video really pissed me off big time.  Especially that fat donut eating dude asking if he had over ten thousand dollars on him none of his business a big problem now in America. Police departments all over America regularly take peoples money and its legal and you have to prove its your money legally you hire a lawyer and win and you had ten grand on you and your lawyer charges you ten grand you still lose it all. Hope he wins a lot of money this is total bs. Still believe you live in the land of the free think again.

Personally I'd rather see an end to civil asset forfeiture instead of (Or at least before) an end to qualified immunity.

I KIND of understand the need for qualified immunity, but making every traveler a potential piggy bank to a police department just encourages this kind of extortion and theft, which sadly degrades public trust in our (mostly good, decent) police...

Criminal wearing a badge.

It reflects badly on the majority of good quality law enforcement officers but the group will defend these criminals.

I could not have said it better Serk!   IMO, that's what these stops are all about. It's a cash cow for small departments and large for that matter. Can't raise taxes anymore, just steal from the law abiding tax payer.

If I wanted to be extorted, I'd go down to Baja. America is the New Mexico it seems.
