Hi everyone it's Lulu,
Sorry it's taken so long of me to post here but it seems like a very long time & I finally feel comfortable enough to do so.
I'd like to start off by saying that the prayers are working! And to plz keep 'em coming.
After 8 days , 8 procedures & surgeries he finally opened his eyes & after 10 days has had the breathing tube removed & is finally breathing on his own! Baby steps....ang God hears our prayers.
Feel so blessed for the outpouring of love & support that this fine group of family has shown & so very thankful for each & every one of you. Mean that from the bottom of my soul.
Huge shout out to our brother Joe Stratemier (Skinhead) whom I'm quite certain saved Gig's life that day. Forever grateful. He did everything just perfectly and as calm as possible given the crazy situation that just happened. I'm sure it was quite traumatic to see yr good buddy in such a state. He called 911, put a rag under Gig's airway (cuz he was breathing in rocks & dust) then he flagged down help who turned out to be an off duty officer Duane Derwacter. He was also very helpful by taking his belongings to his home until they could be picked up at a later time. Guess it's true that God puts sometimes rt where we need to be. Forever thankful Love ya. brother
Also huge shout out to Kraig Delker whom came 2x's LOL to pick up & house the Valk in his stable until she can be picked up at a later date. Huge Thank you again!. He came by to visit Gig as did Fudgie& Juice.
Thank you to OSS & Bonnie for helping in their very special way too. xo
I get emotional just thinking of how so many have called & texted about Gig & his progress & to check on me & to offer whatever they can do to help or need to talk. Just another example of how very fortunate we certainly are to have such a wonderful bond & a true sense of "Give A crap" about each other & how blessed we all are to have such wonderful friends & "Choosen Family "
Just b4 Gig woke up the other day I started talking to him about many of the good times that we've had. I was bringing up names, ppl & silly stuff that's happened & I think it truly helped to hear that stuff especially when I brought up Grizwold! Lol
At least I have to remain hopeful I'm so glad the the weekend b4 all of this happened was a fun one. I'm so happy that he had fun.
Please keep those prayers coming & I know its gonna sound cliche' but Gig was never much of a helmet wearer as you all know & I'm not trying to preach but I bet if he could tell ya now, bet he'd say the same....for God's sake just put em on!
We love ya too much for this to happen to anyone else!! Miss everyone so much XOXO Lulu

Glad to hear from Lulu Belle the good news.
I remember my own crash and how my wife suffered and stressed out, remember to take care of yourself also.
